She tilted her head so she could see the stars. They were hanging quietly above her, gracing her with their light, shining and sparkling as if for her eyes only. It had been a while since last and she thought to herself that she ought to remember the stars, and go see them more often. They calmed her, and gave her that inner peace the world only ever took from her.
The stars gave her so much, and all they wanted in return was a bit of attention every now and then. For her to gaze at them dreamily once or twice a week, wishing to join them and spend the rest of her life among them, shining and sparkling. Sh

It was easy for him to tell. Just by touching it, he could tell its whole story. He knew the paths it had travelled, its place of origin, where it would go next and when it would be no more. He didnt know how or why he knew, but he knew.
His parents told him he had too vivid imagination and refused to listen to their son explain how the twig in his hand had last seen the insides of a mooses mouth because it was stuck between its teeth.
They also shut their ears to his following comment on how the twig would break in two three

He took great care in making it all fit together as it should. Layer upon layer he built and observed as the cake become higher and higher. First he laid a layer of cake, then one with jam or fresh fruit, followed by a thick layer of cream. Execute and repeat. It was strange how hours seemed to go by as he laid layer upon layer.
It was like he had lost himself and his consciousness somewhere in between the different layers. Perhaps he was lying in a pile of jam, atop a fresh strawberry or somehow mixed into the cream. He didn
